Theresa Alene Smith Obituary (2025)

Germanton- Theresa Alene Smith “TT” left this earth on the morning of February 21st, 2025, at the age of 55. Theresa was born on November 18, 1969 to Mary Alene Wade. Growing up she always had a spunky attitude towards life. She loved her music and trying to live life to the fullest. She loved working on cars and spending hours at the river. She loved her Lucy girl, and riding motorcycles. Theresa is survived by her domestic partner of 8 ½ years Tim Merrill; and two children Danny Lee Earls, and Jennifer Guessford (Robbie). She is also survived by her loving sister Brenda Smith, and was a devoted aunt to her children; Jonathan Blankenship (Christian), Cody Smith (Ana), Luke Smith (Lynn), and Austin Smith (Heather), and their children. She was a loving grandmother to Ethan, Dylan, Adam, and Luna. She was preceded in death by her mother, Grandmother Lucille, a special nephew Frank Blankenship, III., and Cousin Jessie Coker. The family will receive friends Saturday, March 1, 2025 from 4pm until 6pm at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 2:00PM at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. Interment will follow in the Union Gospel Baptist Church Cemetery in Germanton. Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel will be serving the family during this time. The family wants to thank the wonderful doctors and staff from Atrium/Baptist and Trellis Supportive Care that helped take care of her throughout this time. The family asks that no one come in traditional black attire. She would have loved everyone to come as they are.
