Richard Clay Craddock, Sr. Obituary (1945 - 2022)

Richard Clay Craddock, Sr., 77, passed away early Wednesday morning, March 30, 2022, at LifeBrite Community Hospital of Stokes in Danbury. A memorial service will be held at 7:30 PM on Saturday, April 9th, at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison with Pastor Clayton Smith officiating. The family will receive friends 6 - 7:30 pm, prior to the service. A native of Stokes County, NC, Richard was born January 6, 1945, to the late James Roy Craddock and Roxie Atkins Craddock. He was a retiree of Glenn Raven Mills. He is survived by his three sons, Richard "Ricky" Craddock, Jr. (Renee), James Louis Craddock, Sr. and Phillip Paul Craddock (Jennifer); 11 grandchildren, James Louis Craddock, Jr., Jeremiah Eugene Craddock, Harley Elizabeth Craddock, Olivia Irene Craddock, Richard Cordell Craddock, Adam Lane Craddock (Cheyenne), Curtis Ray Craddock, Michael John Young (Mindy), Lindsey Young, Katherine Faith Swinson and Samantha Renee Swinson; two great-grandchildren, McKenzie and Georgia Young; brother, Curtis Ray Craddock; sister, Nancy Lee Perkins; and his daughter-in-law, Amy Craddock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Elizabeth Pauline Craddock; son, Timothy Craddock; grandson, Nathan Alexander Swinson; sisters, Margaret Ann Craddock, Ruth Carter and his twin sister, Alice Faye Jordan; and a nephew, David Eugene Craddock.
