Oscar Devin Adams Obituary (1987 - 2022)

Oscar Devin Adams, 34, died on Sunday, May 1, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee. The funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 6, 2022 in the Colonial Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Mayodan Municipal Cemetery. The family will receive friends beginning at 12:30 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home. Devin was a lover of life and loved having fun. He loved to laugh and make others laugh as well. He never met a stranger and he loved his family. He was a huge sports fan and could name every player of every sport, especially the NY Yankees and the Carolina Tar Heels. In all his struggles he still loved God. He will be greatly missed by so many. He was preceded in death by his uncle, Bobby Smith; maternal grandfather, Daniel G. Smith and paternal grandparents, Oscar Adams and Ruth Wells Adams. Survivors include his mother, Peggy Smith Adams; father, Oscar Daryl Adams; sister, Samantha Jane Adams; nieces, Avah Adams and Ariyah Jumper; girlfriend, Angela Shankle; maternal grandmother, Lorene Mabe Smith Stewart; uncles and aunts, Mike and Linda Smith, Kent and Trish Jamie, Gary and Susie Smith, Roy and Donna Lawrence, Laura Hopper, Mark and Stephanie Smith; cousins, Candice Nelson, Shannon Graham, Danielle Crow, Hannah Jamie, Cuff Hopper, IV, Colby Hopper, Daniel Smith, Kassie Smith, Caleb Smith, Caitlin Smith and Matthew Smith; uncles and aunts on the Adams side of the family, James and Robin Wells, Joe and Brenda Adams, Clarence and Ruth Adams, Sandra and Carson Dawson and Ray and Lori Adams and other extended family members and friends.
