Joshua "Josh" Jonathan Joyce Obituary (1975 - 2021)

SANDY RIDGE - Joshua "Josh" Jonathan Joyce, 45, passed away, Monday, May 24, 2021, at Cone Health Annie Penn Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon,Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. Interment will follow in the Brim Family Cemetery. The family requests that social distancing guidelines be followed and face masks be worn. Josh was born June 17, 1975, in Rockingham County, to Glenn "Bob" Carter Joyce and the late Joretta Wall Joyce. He was a former employee of Liberty Screen Printing. He was a wonderful husband, father, son, and brother and was a friend to many people. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Glenn C. Joyce; paternal grandmother, Doris Carter Hughes; maternal grandmother, Earlene Morton; and maternal step-grandfather, W.T. "Dub" Morton; He is survived by his father, Glenn "Bob" Joyce; his wife, Chris Brim Joyce; sons, Nickolas Castine Joyce and Joshua Ryan Joyce; a granddaughter, Soar Duggins; and a sister, Nicole Joyce Jessup (Scott). The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, May 26, 2021, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel and other times at the home of his sister, Nicole Joyce Jessup, 304 South 3rd Avenue, Mayodan, NC 27027.
