Jocelyn Payne Vaden Obituary (1951 - 2020)

WALNUT COVE Jocelyn Vaden, 68, passed away, Tuesday, January 21, 2020 at Woltz Hospice Home. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 24 ,2020 at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. Interment will follow in the Brim Family Cemetery. Ms. Vaden was born December 8, 1951 in Rockingham County to the late John Wesley and Isabelle Irene Fulp Payne. Jocelyn loved everyone, and was a big fan of Carolina Tar Heels Basketball and Panthers Football. Survivors include her son, Phillip Brim, Jr.; daughter, Chris (Josh) Joyce; brothers, Zane Payne and Jerry Payne; sisters, Gwen (Tony) Hill, Gayle Sharpe, and Joyce Mabe; grandchildren, Nick and Ryan Joyce, Harley Davis, and Windy Brim; great-grand-daughter, Soar Duggins. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 23, 2020 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel and all other times at the home on Dodgetown Road.
