Frances "Liz" Holland Wilkins Obituary (1948

MADISON - Frances "Liz" Elizabeth Holland Wilkins, 75, passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, at Annie Penn Hospital in Reidsville. A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Wednesday, January 10th, at Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel with burial to follow in Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 PM to 3 PM, prior to the service, in the chapel. Liz was born December 13, 1948 in Rockingham County, NC, to the late Dewey Ray Holland and Ida Chaney Holland. She was a retired Media Assistant for Rockingham County Schools. Liz was a member of Mayodan First Baptist Church. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Leo Wilkins; son, Christopher Wilkins (Melissa); five sisters, Alene Hall, Irene Shelton, Louise Lenderman (Fred), Marie Fox (Gary) and Helen Hatcher (Ed); along with her beloved dog, Riley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Swaim and her two dogs, Maddux and Spud. Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Mayodan, 101 1st Avenue, Mayodan, NC 27027. Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel in Madison is serving the family.
