Edgar "Tubby" Priddy Obituary (1932 - 2021)

DANBURY - Edgar Bibb "Tubby" Priddy, 88, passed away, Friday, February 5, 2021, at Forsyth Medical Center. A graveside service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at the Shelton Family Cemetery. The family welcomes friends to show their respect and sign the register from 12 to 6 p.m., Monday, February 8 and from 9 to 12 p.m., Tuesday, February 9, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel. Social distancing guidelines will be followed and face coverings are required. Mr. Priddy was born September 11, 1932, in Patrick County, VA to the late Edd Murphy and Ella Lou Knight Priddy. He was a US Army veteran, served as a volunteer with the Lawsonville Fire Dept. and was a former member of the Lawsonville Ruritan Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jacqueline Shelton Priddy; an infant son, Danny Ray Priddy; brothers, Ervin and Grady Priddy; and sisters, Louise Nolan, Wilma Joyce, and Lorene Rowland. Survivors include two sons, Tim Priddy (Louise) and Eddie Priddy (Shawne); a daughter, Toni Priddy; grandchildren, Kristen Garrard (Matt), Bria Priddy, Caitlin Sparks (Aaron), and Cheyenne Priddy; and great-grandchildren, Paxton Blake Garrard, Meika Louise Garrard, Easton Bartley Sparks, and Samuel Henry Sparks. The family would like to extend special thanks to his physicians, Dr. Scott Satko, Dr. Milan Petrovic, Dr. Lucie Lauve, Dr. Mark Lyerly, and Dr. John McCabe.
