Daffer "Dorothy" Hiatt Fulp Obituary (1942 - 2022)

WALNUT COVE - Daffer "Dorothy" Hiatt Fulp, 79, left this earthly life Tuesday, February 1, 2022, at home. The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m., Friday, February 4, 2022, at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel followed by funeral services at 2 p.m. Interment will be held in Big Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery. Dorothy was born in Carroll County, VA on June 15, 1942, to the late Thomas Edgar Hiatt and Sally Ann Gwynn Hiatt. She was a homemaker who was devoted to taking care of her family. To her children she was a "great lady" who was always there for her children, grandchildren, and the entire family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Robert Eugene Stephens and Roger Lee Fulp; a brother William Richard Hiatt and a step-brother Carl Branson. Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Thomas Eugene and Patsy Stephens, Ricky and Karen Stephens, Danny and Sue Stephens; daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Curtis Spath and Amanda and Mike Glodic; step-children, Melissa Fulp, Timmy Fulp, Susan Heath (David), Michelle Tilley (Mickey), and Jerry Fulp; brothers, Leroy (Frances) Hiatt, Roger (Sheila) Branson, Billy Branson; sisters, Louella (Paul) White, Imogene (Ronnie) Tucker, and Carol (William) Tilley; 11 grandchildren, Amy Crews, Tabitha Finney, Robert Stephens, Chad Stephens, Macy Rubeck, Mitchell Stephens, Adriane Eaton, Matthew Stephens, Christopher Craig, Kiztal Vernon and Katelyn Puckett; and 24 great-grandchildren.
