Candice Gail Lawson Obituary (1952 - 2022)

Candice Priddy Lawson, 69, departed this earthly life, Tuesday, February 8, 2022, at Moses Cone Hospital. The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, February 11, 2022, at Oak Ridge Baptist Church with interment following in the church cemetery. Born May 17, 1952, in Henry County, Virginia, Candice was a graduate of North Stokes High School. She was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church and retired from E.I. DuPont. She was a devoted mother who loved being a grandmother. She was preceded in death by parents William Isaac Priddy and Beatrice Gann Priddy and a sister Sandra P. Bowen. Survivors include her husband and loving caregiver, Ricky Lawson; daughters, Marcy Renee L. Hubbard (Bradley), Nicole L. Nelson (Timmy), and Angela Christine L. Dunlap (Matt), and seven grandchildren, Tristan, Sierra, Timberlyn, Tinsley, Trenton, Andrew, and Aubrey. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm Thursday at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel and all other times at the residence. Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel is serving the family.
