Annie Ruth Craddock Obituary (1938 - 2025) - Lawsonville, North Carolina

ANNIE RUTH AMOS CRADDOCK Annie Ruth Craddock, 87, of Lawsonville passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 5, 2025. Annie Ruth was born on May 11, 1938, to the late John Odell and Ruby Lee Kendrick Amos. She was a 1956 graduate of Sandy Ridge High School. Annie Ruth retired from E.I. duPont, Martinsville, VA and after retirement she continued working on the farm with her husband and family up until 2007. She enjoyed going on bowling trips with her friends and playing bingo. She was known for her famous coconut cakes. Her greatest joy was her family, and most of all being called Nannie Annie by her grandkids and great granddaughters. She supported each one of them in everything they pursued. Annie Ruth was a member of Sandy Ridge Presbyterian Church and served as the treasurer until her health declined in November 2024. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years Robert Junior Craddock; Brothers George and Dennis Amos; and Sister Linda Amos Adkins. Survivors include daughter Debra (Lonnie) Nall; son Jerry (Tricia) Craddock; grandchildren Donnie (Laken) Nall, Harley and Heather Nall; Matt (Emily) Craddock, and Jake Craddock; two great granddaughters Emersyn and Ensley Nall. One great granddaughter to arrive this week, Ellie Mae Craddock. Brothers Clyde, Darrell (Cindy) and Danny (Mary Ann) Amos, and sister Gloria Amos Whorley. The family will receive family and friends from 12 p.m. until 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel and all other times at her home. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the funeral home with interment following in the Hylton Family Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Hylton Cemetery fund c/o Frances Young, 1577 Moore Road, Lawsonville, NC 27022 or Trellis Supportive Care, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston Salem, NC 27103. The family would like to give a special thank you to her caregiver, Michelle Swain, for all of the love and care she has given her over the last several months and also to Trellis Supportive Care for their passionate care.
