A Tradition of Thoughtful Care
Colonial Funeral Home & Chapel, Inc. was founded in 1971 by a group of individuals seeking to offer a choice of funeral homes in the area. Formed as a stock company, shares were made available to the public, with most shareholders residing in Rockingham, Stokes, Forsyth, and Guilford counties. We are truly locally owned and operated.
In 2005, to better serve surrounding communities, our Board of Directors established a new facility in Sandy Ridge. Colonial Funeral Home Stokes Chapel opened in February 2006.
Today, Colonial Funeral Home operates two locations:
Both locations offer full services, including preparation rooms, selection rooms, chapels, and private sitting areas, with ample parking. In 2016, a state-of-the-art cremation facility was added to the Stokes Chapel location to meet the needs of Rockingham, Stokes, and surrounding counties.
